About The Galactic Junkers

Being the captain of a spaceship can be hard, especially when there’s a price on your head. Bounty hunters, space pirates, and even the Galactic Union are trying to hunt you down. All that stands between you and oblivion is your wits, your crew, and your trusty ship.

The Galactic Junkers is a comedic action-adventure space combat game that puts you in the role of a space captain on the run. Your ship might be falling apart and your crew isn’t the best but with a little luck, you can keep everything ship-shape. Upgrade your ship, hire new crew, steal supplies and equipment, and keep searching for the truth of why everyone wants you dead.

In the far future, the Great Cataclysm saw Earth destroyed, seeing humanity spread throughout the Solar System. To survive we’ve become nomads, eking out a living on space stations that are falling apart and barely habitable asteroids. Humanity has lost hope but a few brave space captains are out there, trying to find a new future for us. You’re one of them, building a life full of adventure for you and your crew, with a full load of Space Munch, a moody computer, and a barely functioning ship, what could possibly go wrong?

Features

  • Explore – Take a journey across the solar system exploring all nine planets and their neighbouring sectors. Discover mysterious asteroids, creaking space stations, abandoned shipwrecks, deadly pirates, and much more.
  • Mine, Salvage, Steal, and Trade – Running a spaceship is never easy and there are always bills to pay. Keep your bank balance looking healthy by mining asteroids, salvaging derelicts, and trading with disreputable characters. Maybe you’ll even partake in a little theft, but don’t worry – we won’t tell anyone.
  • Battle and Board Enemy Ships – Space is a deadly place so you’ll have to fight for your life. Set your crew to operate the guns and show those pesky pirates what you are made of! Board enemy ships to smash and grab essential resources or hack systems from the shadows.
  • Hire and Maintain your Crew – A happy ship needs a happy crew, so look after your band of useful idiots. Nurture their skills to keep everything running smoothly, or if you don’t like them, show them the airlock and hire new crew.
  • Buy, Upgrade, and Repair Ships – Maybe you need a little more juice in the engine department or your guns are falling short. Upgrade your ship to take control of the sector and make a name for yourself. Or if you prefer something a little fancier, trade-in your ship for a better model. Just don’t forget your maintenance routines!
  • Protect You and Your Ship at all Costs – Try not to get yourself blown up, captured, or otherwise incapacitated. We’re counting on you to find the truth behind the bounty on your head and see if there’s a bigger destiny for you out there. Explore strange new worlds, meet weird new people, try dodgy food, and boldly fumble where no space captain has fumbled before, just don’t get your exhaust ports blown off!

The Galactic Junkers will release today for Xbox One consoles, and PC via Steam for £12.99/€13.99/$16.99. The PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions will be released in early July.

“From the first time we saw Filthy Animals: Heist Simulator we knew instantly that this was a title we had to publish” Commented Helen Churchill, SVP of Publishing at Green Man Gaming Publishing. “Filthy Animals: Heist Simulator brings a unique player experience to a very successful genre. We see it as a Gang Beasts meets Hotline Miami mashup and packs in loads of personality, appealing attitude and frantic gameplay. The team at Pewter Games Studios have hit the nail on the head with this game and we are looking forward to sharing this exciting journey with them.”

“All of us here on the dev team are so excited to enter into a publishing partnership with Green Man Gaming Publishing.” Commented Christopher Conlan, Co-Founder, Pewter Games “Their wealth of experience in marketing and retail puts them into a unique position to help us launch a game like Filthy Animals: Heist Simulator. We’ve already seen how proactive they are in every facet of the development, marketing, and production process, and we can’t wait to see them help bring our unique creation to the world.”

About Filthy Animals: Heist Simulator

Listen up ya filthy animals you work for me now and I got a job for ya! You might be thinking it’s just an ordinary heist – get in, get out with the cash and hopefully stay in one piece. Well, I got a newsflash for ya, numbnuts – this ain’t no ordinary heist; the vault is on the upper levels, the security system uses lasers, the guards have shotguns, you’re gonna have to escape via helicopter, and to top it all off, you’re a bunch of mutant morons who barely know how to walk. But them’s the breaks, right? I want ya to get in there and put them new bodies I gave ya to good use and get me my money. This could be the start of something great, and if not, well, there are plenty more animals in the sewer.

Just don’t screw this up!

Features

    • 1- 4 player Online CO-OP – A heist is easier with a well-organised crew who know what they are doing, but I’m sure the 4 of you numbnuts can handle it. And if you feel smart enough after graduating from big dumb bank robbing mutant college, you can even try your luck and take on the heists alone.
    • Distinct and Challenging Heists – I got big plans! Do things right and you have a bright future ahead of ya. Robbing a store and a bank is child’s play; get that done and there are plenty of other targets like tombs, nuclear power plants, space… Y’know if it ain’t nailed down it’s asking to be taken!
    • Enemies and Hazards – No one said this was going to be easy! Armed guards and security personnel will try to stop you at every turn. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the have-a-go-heroes of this city may even throw some punches your way.
    • Abilities and Power-ups – You never know what you’ll find laying around that can help. I suggest roughing up some vending machines – those sodas pack a punch! They can get ya back on your feet, make you super tough, and some other cool tricks too. Also, remember you all got your own mutant animal powers too – so use them! If one of you goes down, help get them back on their feet. If you don’t get them up in time just flush ‘em down the toilet and I’ll fix them up in the lab.
    • Weapons and Tools – Be smart! If you come across an obstacle, use the grey matter between ya thick skulls to and pick up an axe or a drill, find the right tool for the job. But for the guards, a good old shotgun might be the answer!
    • Loot-O-Matic – Use the cash you earn to pick up some useful items or some firepower from the Loot-O-Matic for your next job. Or, just pick what looks cool, what do I care?

Filthy Animals: Heist Simulator will be published by Green Man Gaming Publishing and scheduled to launch for PC in autumn, 2022. Fans can play the demo during the Steam Next Fest starting 13th June. Wishlist the game on Steam now!

Stainless Games new IP, ShockRods, set to re-ignite arena combat genre with over-the-top action

Stainless Games new IP, ShockRods, set to re-ignite arena combat genre with over-the-top action

Studio’s latest release brings back all out, high speed, kill-or-be-killed action

London, UK – 20th March, 2019 – Hot on the heels of their recent partnership announcement, Green Man Gaming Publishing and Stainless Games are thrilled to officially lift the bonnet on their brand new IP, ShockRods.

Stainless Games are going back to their roots with all the over the top, in your face vehicle combat for which they’ve earned worldwide renown. ShockRods is a 6v6 or 12 player free-for-all arena shooter, with blisteringly fast-paced action, mayhem and overpowered weapons.

ShockRods draws inspiration from the classic “kill or be killed” arena shooter greats of yesteryear with over the top weapons, explosions and insane mobility, but with a twist – the titular ShockRods; these customisable, hulking, technologically advanced vehicles, equipped with nitros and the ability to double jump, allow for truly thrilling and action packed gameplay.

It’s an easy to learn, hard to master high octane thrill-a-minute ride!

Check out the reveal trailer here – https://youtu.be/9VlMA87akaU

CEO of Stainless Games Patrick Buckland said,

“ShockRods is Stainless to its core: frantic, action-packed and anarchic. We’ve been working hard but having a great time developing it, we love playing it, and we’re sure that gamers out there are going to love it too. Who doesn’t love cars and guns?”

ShockRods promises to flip the arena combat genre on its head with the marriage of familiar shooter-style gameplay and advanced vehicle physics in jaw dropping settings that will see players challenged to use their surroundings as much as the wide array of weapons at their disposal.

But don’t take our word for it – we’ll have a multiplayer build set up for some 6v6 mayhem during EGX Rezzed at London’s Tobacco Dock, 4th-6th April (for tickets head to http://www.rezzed.com )

“I can’t wait to see gamers gets hands on with ShockRods at EGX Rezzed.”

“Having first worked with the Stainless Games team over 20 years ago, I know first hand how incredibly talented they are so, to partner with them on their latest release is truly fantastic. The fact that ShockRods is going to be shown to the public hands on so quickly speaks volumes about just how confident we are about the game!”.

ShockRods is a Steam PC Early Access game. For more information head to Twitter, Discord, Reddit or Facebook and be sure to get hands on with the game at EGX Rezzed in London, UK from 4 – 6 April 2019!
