Special Effect is a charity that supports people with physical disabilities by bringing the fun and inclusion back into their lives through gaming. We’ve been sponsoring and taking part in events organised by Special Effect for years. Paul and Callum took part in the Twin Town Challenge in 2016 and drove from Oxfordshire to Le Touquet and back in a £500 car. They managed to raise almost £5,000 for the charity. The Green Man Gaming team have also taken part in One Special Day, marathons and bakes to support Special Effect.
GamesAid is a UK based video games charity which acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people. Green Man Gaming has partnered with GamesAid to offer a charity bundle in which all the proceeds from the sale will go to the charity.
Green Man Gaming is a member of the Fair Play Alliance, a
cross-industry initiative spanning over 70 gaming companies whose
mission is to share research and best practices that drive lasting
change in fostering fair play in online games.
